There are quite a few other people in the class who have just started their second sketchbook, me included. you dont have to feel like your behind, people have bigger handwriting than others as well.

I am also enjoying the image restoration, and, like you, havent come to terms with all the tools as yet.

I have used Photoshop a bit just using for a few tutorials to see what its capabilities are. I needed the lecture on the Tuesday to help me with the picture as I haven’t done Image restoration before. So i found it very useful as well.

Hey Greg

I am also starting a new sketch book and have the same feelings, it will be hard, as you will have to add a new index and such to the new one. I think that this just proves that the sketchbooks are allot more useful than people thought on the first day.

I am also enjoying the image restoration, mainly because its more practical from the other work we have done so far, but it does take a lot of time than originally thought, colouring each pixel in individually is hard and takes a lot of time, I have been doing it all week and I am still not finished. However as well as doing this I have to do referral work so there was a lot of work this week anyways for me without this. This is why I am glad I booked of work to allow me to be able to complete everything.

I recommend using www.dasforum.co.uk , if you need any advice and tips on using Photoshop.

Thanks, Martyn

Yeah, I've not finished my sketchbook either.. I have also looked around and saw other people like half-way through their second and got worried that there is not enough work in mine. I just thought along the lines of what Tom said about different people have different sized hand writing and present things in individual ways.

It's good to see that you found the small Photoshop tutorial lecture helpful and interesting, it's amazing what can be acheieved just by knowing the basics of PS. Alot of the work you'll do in the future on it will show these basics and rarely will move from these; well I think that from personal experience.

I am enjoying the image restoring to. I think that the presentation really helpped as ive never used the software before and I found it really usefull.

I am the same worried that I will spend more time on restoring the image as there is loads of other work that needs to be done at the same time so making sure that we plan what days where going to do the tasks will help loads.

Don't worry about not starting a new sketchbook until now... I haven't either. It depends on a lot of things, not least the size of your writing!
